A poem on Love

Alone she sat and wept

Looking out the window

Why me, why me she screamed

This was not the life she dreamed

Oh there is hope

Your future has scope

Baby you can cope

Love is better than dope

She met him briefly

But his eyes, his body piercing her soul,

She knew He was somebody

Somebody too great

To like someone like her

Was this some cosmic joke called fate ?

They didn’t even date

Oh there is hope

Your future has scope

Baby you can cope

Love is better than dope

She had fallen, fallen , fallen in love

This majestic gorgeous God from up above

They say a sign of God is a dove

Like an instrument of love

She had fallen in love with a star from up above

can a dove be a sign of love

can a star shine so brightly

As she looks up at the sky

Seeing his green grey eyes

As the moon under the clouds hides

She knew she had to run

She may never be a nun

But his love conquered her soul, her being her heart

There is hope

Your future has scope

Baby you can cope

Love is better than dope

She got out of the train

Her life could have gone down the drain

But as she looked up

His hands hugged her tight

His love she will no longer fight

Now the future has a brilliant light

Love is better than dope

She looked into his eyes and said

Love is better than dope

Dope, dope, dope love is better than dope
