A little Bit About India and My Testimony

Hi namasthe my name is Sangeetha Alexander wife of Mark Alexander who came to Northern Ireland to study at the Belfast Bible College 10 years back. As you can see I am from India which has a population of 1.1 billion, there are 29 states and 22 official languages and also 1650 other languages and dialects.

Christianity was brought to India by ST Thomas the disciple also known as doubting Thomas he preached the gospel in southern part of India. Christians have lived in Kerala for almost 2 thousand years.

Catholic and protestant missionaries brought Christianity to India almost 200 years ago as a result the percentage of Christians is 2.5 per cent which is about 25 million people however the unofficial figures is 5 per cent or 50 million praise God for that.

Being a Christian is not a problem in the 4 southern states as long as you do not take part in evangelism how ever missionaries, evangelists and pastors in small towns and villages face a lot of precaution. My father’s grand parents were Hindu converts and were brought to the lord through the work of missionaries. My mother’s grandparents were brought to the lord by CMS missionaries and Amy charmihcal an northern Irish missionary was also involved in bring people to Christ in the same area of my mothers grandparents.

The church is growing in spite of the persecution especially the assembly of God churches, the largest city church is in Chennai with 50000 people and the second largest church is in Bangalore with 20,000 members

The church my father served in Bangalore had 1500 members every Sunday. Many churches support missionaries in North India as most Christians are from southern India, churches are involved in mission work either by sending missionaries or supporting mission work one church in our city in Bangalore supports 98 missionaries and want to make this figure 100 next year. people have learnt to give sacrificially to missions and evangelism. Being a Christian is not easy in north and east India as the Hindu political parties called BJP have started programmes to reconvert Christians to Hinduism and the using of threats and violence is common.

My great grandfather came from a family of Hindu priests however my great grand father wanted to join the army so he came to Bangalore which is a big city, he was also searching for the true God as the Hindu gods did not give him the peace he desired in his heart. He went to the mosque but Islam did not fill the void in his heart. finally he met the missionaries of the London mission society was convinced that Jesus was the true lord and saviour and became a Christian.

My great grand father and my great grandma reached out to the Hindu family members with the gospel.

A few years back my grandmother and her brother estimated about 200 family members became active Christians because of the influence of my great grand parents..

I accepted Jesus as my saviour at 10 years of age, I always wanted to serve the Lord, There have been failures, difficult times and also happy times in my life but the Lord has never failed me nor forsaken me, there have been times I cried out to the lord where are you and sought the lord and He answered me with his peace in my heart knowing that he was and is within me, I am now going to conclude with the song the potters hand, as this song is close to my heart sometimes the lord melts moulds us breaks us and then leaves on a self till his appointed time and then fills us with his glory, let us recommit our lives to the lord as we read the words of the potters hand

“The Potter’s Hand”

Beautiful Lord, Wonderful Saviour

I know for sure, all of my days are held in your hands, crafted

into your perfect plan

You gently call me into your presence guiding me by Your Holy Spirit

Teach me dear Lord to live all of my life through Your eyes

I’m captured by Your holy calling

Set me apart, I know you’re drawing me to yourself

Lead me Lord I pray

Take me, Mold me, use me, fill me

I give my life to the Potter’s hand

Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me

I give my life to the Potter’s hand

You gently call me into your presence guiding me by your Holy Spirit

Teach me dear Lord to live all of my life through your eyes

I’m captured by your Holy calling

set me apart, I know your drawing me to yourself

lead me Lord I pray

Take me, Mold me, use me, fill me

I give my life to the Potter’s hand

Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me

I give my life to the potters hand

The Funny Bear Who Loved Honey

UnknownFunny Bear Who Loved Honey

There once was a funny bear who had no money all he wished for was a bucket of honey

One bright day when the weather was fine and sunny

He had a grumbling in his tummy

He wanted that bucket of honey from the store but funny bear was broke and had no moneyimages

So he sat on a log of wood and as he drifted to sleep

He heard a screech and there a beautiful parrot, stood with a carrot

So funny bear said “parrot oh parrot you have carrot but I am broke and sore and want that bucket of honey from the store”

Haughty parrot replied oh my wings are tired I travelled a lot, but I am sorry I have no money for your honey pot,

Funny bear went for a walk looking for someone to talk

What he saw gave him a shock

There was a carnival in the forest and there was a stage for anyone who wanted to talk or sing or dance

Funny bear looked like he was in a trance gave his name this was his time for fame and the winner got money if he was entertaining and funny

The weather was bright and sunny

Funny bear took a deep breath and people were looking at him with curiosity

Funny bear thought to himself this is not a time to worry, he had to have that bucket with honey

His friends always said he was funny, the curtain arose funny bear took the mike and started telling funny tales and the laughter came in bales there were more tales and more laughter

This funny bear was now a comedian master

When the time finished and the curtain close they put a bill in his hand and his reaction froze he was no more funny broke and sore he won the score he went to the store and had his pot of honey he now had money for many pots of honey

The next day he sat on the green grass eating his honey and counting his money he said to his friend the haughty parrot you have a carrot but I am funny and that I will never regretimages-1

The end

The Day The Lord Walked Into My Life

The day He walked into my life

There is a Lord

Who watches over all

There is a Lord who catches you when you fall

There is a Lord who tells you

You are amazing even when you feel very hurt and small

There is a Lord who prays for you when Him you call

There is a Lord who took you from fire and ashes and turned you around like a great phoenix who rose into glory from fire

This is not satire

There is a Lord who took your hand from the mire

There is a Lord who blessed you

When others cursed you

There is a Lord who cared for you and protected you

And made you, you

Like a phoenix when all thought you were in the dust and ashes

He the Lord dusted the ashes off

And made you a woman

Like giving you beauty for ashes

Like lighting a cigarette with matches

He loved you

He made you

You are unique

You are you

People like you are few

Lord take away the chains

As the plants take in the rain

Your blessings from me never refrain

You took me from the drain

One day I will travel in the air train

When things get difficult

Smile at the warmth of the sun

Feel him holding you

Telling you

He cares

Let us worship the Lord

Not in a ritualistic shroud

But in faith and trust and simplicity

Hold his hand

He understands

Lord for you I stand

The Keyword is Love

imagesAs I gaze on the beauty of the King

My heart lets out a song to sing

The Lord brought me out of depression

My emotions in suppression

My song was in condemnation

But his smile brought me out of condemnation

His love was a libation to my oppression

Lord you rule the nations

I in awe of you am in fascination

Will I ever from my cage and in my moments of rage shed a tear,

It was then you were near as word from the book of life

Eliminated all my strife

Lord cut out my worldliness with a knife

As I bleed in my heart

Please your love from me never depart

I have nothing

I am nothing

But because of my great Lord and King

I can sing

Like the church bells ring

Like the lark on a tree

Oh Lord you the future for see

If you can take nothing and make it something

Let me be your clay

Mould me, break me, make me

And when all is done an earthen vessel carrying the presence of the King

Take me as I sing

Oh is that a church bell

Let it play the song of the king

A song I love to sing

All glory, honour and power to the King

Take me as your prodigy,, your instrument

As I weep reading the eschatological verse of the new testament

Thank you for removing the inner torment

The Holy Book has one statement

That is LOVE that came from up above

One day to you I will fly like a dove

Till then let me be Love

Singing with power because in my heart is you my light house tower that shines ever brighter even when the storms shower blood and water

Love yes Love that is the word, the password, the key word

Love, now and forever my wonderful king and saviour let Love reign

Do not hold it back let there be no lack, be it white or black the world is connected by the holy book, take a look, be it gentle, gentile or crook, the word is love, that is that love is the format, it is not a doormat it is Love ,

do I see a dove it is a sign from up above, let it sing as the church bells ring, always honour the king, as all I have to bring is myself sans nothing, but He is everything who took an earthen vessel to carry the presence of the Lord, sans pride, sans ambition, sans ruler of the nation but indwelt with love from up above,

let love reign take away fear and pain, wipe away every tear because the coming of the Lord is near, Lord you are you, make this world brand new,

just like the early morning dew let there be love that is like a refreshing river from the mountains, like a waterfall in a rain forest, let them boast of the love of the lord,

you are the great creator, the world’s originator, our benefactor lead us guide us and open the right doors for us, as the church bells ring, people in the choir sing as I look out the window I see people rushing their emotions gushing every woman wanting to look dashing is this all life is about,

living like a highly technical robot, no take away fear as I shed a tear thy presence I feel near saying I love you dear,

life is not just about money or being funny it is wisdom that rules the Kingdome that will never end, who is that waiting round the bend, my love, my life let there never be strife as all I am is an humble wife with nothing to give but because of love I liveIMG_3018

To Love Unconditionally

To Love Unconditionallyimages

When the Lord made man, he loved man unconditionally knowing that there was good and bad in man, yet God created him and loved him, then created Eve as a helpmate for man. Yes God loves you and God loves me. I know that I may not be as attractive as a victoria secret model, but I know HE the Lord loves me. When I got married I promised the Lord that I will love my husband unconditionally why let me tell you about the Saint in my family My mum’s mum she got beaten, kicked and tortured by my granddad because he was an alcoholic but yet she prayed for Him, cooked for him and looked after him and just before he died of liver failure he asked her to forgive him, after all those years of torture she forgave him and that beautiful wonderful lady who drank the rice water that you cook rice with so that her children could eat was my grand mother Ranji who is rejoicing with Lord now,

That lady was and is my inspiration. If she could love a husband like that be beaten night and day how much more should I love the man God has given me. I am not beaten, I am blessed, I enjoy discussing theological questions, I love reading the word and praying above all I am GRATEFUL for everything I have, even have money to buy my baby clothes or treat myself for that new dress or just praying holding hands with my hubby. Yes compared to my grand mother life is like paradise but I was wondering how would I react if my husband beat me up, would I react the way my grandmother reacted loving him not matter what, the answer is unconditional love, our Lord Jesus loved us unconditionally and died for us on the cross and forgave those who persecuted him, he could have had revenge but NO, he Forgave, he Loved unconditionally today I am asking I am pleading love those who hate you, forgive those who mistreat you above all Love unconditionally if you do you will have peace and joy, Learn to Love, Learn to Love unconditionally. Faith, Hope and Love the greatest is LOVEimages-1
