Show Me Love

ImageLeave This

Leave this chanting and singing and telling of beads!
Whom dost thou worship in this lonely dark corner of a temple with doors all shut?
Open thine eyes and see thy God is not before thee!

He is there where the tiller is tilling the hard ground
and where the pathmaker is breaking stones.
He is with them in sun and in shower,
and his garment is covered with dust.
Put off thy holy mantle and even like him come down on the dusty soil!

Deliverance?
Where is this deliverance to be found?
Our master himself has joyfully taken upon him the bonds of creation;
he is bound with us all for ever.

Come out of thy meditations and leave aside thy flowers and incense!
What harm is there if thy clothes become tattered and stained?
Meet him and stand by him in toil and in sweat of thy brow.

Rabindranath Tagore

Dear Friends, this wonderful poem was written by our great author of India Sri Rabindranath Tagore, Let me ask you the readers a few questions, Does Our Lord, God live in a great castle ?? Is he so holy he lives in  cave like a hermit , unpolluted by the world ?? Is he so proud not to mix with people of lowly professions that the people of the world shunned. Was He the rich kid who never had to work for a living ?? Did He feel that he knew all things as a child and never discussed his thoughts ? Did he judge the adulterous and people with maligned morality ??

Dear ones you know that our Lord God Almighty came down to us not born in a castle but in a humble stable. He lived in our world his friends were not the posh Pharisees but fishermen, prostitutes, tax collectors. He spoke to the Samaritan women with five husbands a woman no Jew would have spoken to much less knowing about her maligned character. He did not judge the woman caught in adultery and did not let the people stone her because He the Lord of Lord’s had love and compassion in his heart. He touched a leper and healed him, while Pharisees would not even let a leper’s shadow touch them.

He worked for a living not as a proud Pharisee in a synagogue but as a humble carpenter. Yet he asserted his authority as Lord when it was his time to reach out to his world of Jerusalem and from His world the entire world was and is blessed. He brought back creation by  controversially spitting on mud and making  new eyes for a blind man. He also got angry and rebelled and zeal for his house consumed him as he made whips and threw out the people making his house into a market place, yes Jesus was a non-conformist and rebelled against the Pharisees.

He let a prostitute wet his feet her tears and wipe his feet with her hair and let me tell from that night on she was pure again that my friends was the beginning of grace that our Lord bestowed not only on her but the whole world.

That is not all our Lord God King Of Kings and Lord Of Lords died a humiliating death on a cross so you and I can be saved, He did not just come to our level he became a low caste or became equal to a thief  or someone the society disdains.

That is our Lord Jesus, if someone says show me love show them the cross for such love has never and can never and will never be repeated in History For what our Creator Lord  did us for no one can ever do for us.

So when you think of God, think of love that came down to our level for you and for me.

“(Come out of thy meditations and leave aside thy flowers and incense!
What harm is there if thy clothes become tattered and stained?
Meet him and stand by him in toil and in sweat of thy brow). “words in italics by author and poet Rabindranath Tagore.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Dear darlings, munchkins, sweetypies how are you all doing ? The poem above is one of my favorite poems.

I always wanted to be different and though I was able to fit into the mold of a good paster’s daughter I wanted to travel, to explore the world , to fall in love, and yes I did the  latter. I traveled, I went to different countries and explored different cultures still deep inside I was a paster’s daughter.

The cultures varied but inside I was a paster’s daughter I did not have the courage to rebel nor did I want to.

Rebellion can be a good thing or a bad thing. Martin Luther rebelled against the corruption of the early catholic churches and brought about reformation and freedom by justification of grace to the protestants.

Martin Luther King rebelled against white supremacy and today because of his rebellion we have a wonderful

colored President of USA which was only a dream in the times of Martin Luther King.

When the British ruled India, our great and wonderful freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi brought about independence to India by sathyagraha or non-violence.

Rebellion can be a wonderful thing if done rightfully. Our Lord Jesus rebelled against the Pharisees and broke boundaries between the Gentiles and the Jews and now we can accepted into God’s family of believers due to the breaking of boundaries by Jesus.

Dear ones if you want to rebel go ahead and do it right, doing drugs or over dosing in alcohol or bed hoping is not rebellion it is stupidity. So if you want to rebel rebel  go ahead, but do it for your benefit and the benefit of society.

If you were bullied or tormented prove your adversaries wrong do well in life, go to university, get a good job. Susan Boyel the lady who was tormented all her 46 years rebelled by going on Britain’s got talent and became a global sensation and those who tormented her hid their faces in shame.

Go ahead break the mold of society, travel the less travelled road, life is too short to do nothing if people are mean to you rebel and flash them the sweetest smile and say how do you do, maybe they are jealous, maybe they are insecure but my dear friend are “You”. “You” are not them, “You” are not everybody, “You” are somebody and that is why they are frightened. So stand up and make a difference in this community and the world. The Stakes are high the rewards worthwhile. God Bless from the Rebellious Indian aunty

Grace

My dearest sweet sweet hearts, my munchkins, darlings, how have you all been ? Did you know the Wright brothers invented the aeroplane and now travelling is so much easier and faster due that awesome invention.

Someone once said the world is like a ping pong ball. It is all connected by airwaves, satellites, radars, and telephone waves. So is an individual’s life it is all connected by family, society, peers peers, land, culture and countries.

When I see myself in this vast contour of land in a country I am an little individual  among a mass of individuals. I strive to be honest to my beliefs, my God and my family. Obey the laws of my country, my society and my family.

But is abiding by the laws the only thing that makes us good. Who is good ? Jesus was good. Mother Theresa was good but there is a little evil in every one. You may say No way I am good but look within yourself  are you really truly good.

There is a story in the Bible where a woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus for judgement and the Lord said whoever has never sinned can throw the stone at her because  in those days the people punished the “women” caught in adultery by stoning them and there was no one who was left standing before our God for they were all convicted of their sin and Jesus forgave that Lady and said “ go and sin no more”

Forgiveness is strength and grace if we do not forgive others how will our Lord forgive us our sins. Learn to forgive and let go so that we can be graceful, loving individuals in our society, community and country.

My grandmother’s name is Grace and she is a wonderful strong individual. I remember one time my brother was asked to say  grace at a family meal and he shouted “Grace” amen. The meaning of God’s grace is His forgiveness instead of judgement for our sins. The abiding of law is good in the bible but that is not what makes us good it is our communion and fellowship with our God that brings us from glory to glory from grace to grace.

Man fell at the very beginning of time and man has that fallen nature in Him but God  Christ died for this fallen man and  now man can by faith through Christ approach our God in peace without rituals, penance or sacrifices of animals.

It is the grace of God you that you and I can live as children of God .

So I believe as Jesus said “ give to Ceaser what belongs to Him and give to God what belongs to Him so we have to abide by the country’s laws but at the same time if we slip and fall into sin remember God has this big gold shower of grace to wash us clean.

So from forgiveness to grace , from glory to glory the Indian aunty

Speak Lord Your Servant is listening

I was angry that I was not what you call “one of the most successful” people in the world.

I had not won a noble prize, I did not have tons of money, I was not one of the most bold and beautiful people in the world, I did not have very many friends and I well I was just me.

Me who was misunderstood, me with a history of depression and me trying my hardest to be loved and accepted by society.

So I went up to God in my prayer time and asked Him the Almighty why is it that I am misunderstood, why is it I do not have very many friends, why is it I have to strive so hard to let people love me? The Almighty answered when I was in the world dear one no one appreciated me, no one gave me a private jet to fly about and do miracles in. The teachers of the law wanted to have nothing to do with me, I was misunderstood I was beaten I was forsaken yet I did it for you so that one day you will understand what it is like to be my disciple.

Do not strive so hard to be accepted by society and let it not pressure you that people don’t understand you,Strive for my presence to shine in you and through you so that by your actions and your words you do not look for man’s glory but my glory manifested in you to bring many to my Kingdom.

Be a channel of peace, be an instrument of love, be an instrument of love and blessing to the people and the world around and daughter remember do not hold a grudge wear forgiveness like a garland around your neck then you will be all that I want you to be.

Speak Lord your servant is listening.
