O Captain! My Captain!

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weathered every rock,the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring: Walt Whitman,

Hi there dear munchkins, my darlings, my chocho chweet friends, How are you all doing? Today I am going to talk about Life, Karma or Fate who navigates our life ? Is it some supreme force of the universe called God or is it your parents, friends, loved ones ?

Dear friends they all have a role to play in your life but the choice is up to you. Sometimes man makes right choices, wrong choices, hard choices but dear one “You” ultimately make the choice good or bad.

Sometimes the environment we live in makes choices and the freedom of choice is taken from us but do you know there will come a time when we can overcome the environment or society and make our move to a better future for ourselves.

We are like players in a game of chess with Divine intervening with the society as we should strategize our intelligent next move. Let me tell you dear munchkins if we carefully planned and strategized our life we would not be or could be where we are now.

He who fails to plan, plans to fail. I never in this world planed anything in my life. I am quite childish in my approach to life I have no enemies, love my fellow human beings and like to go on skipping in the sunshine collecting daises and flowers and everything is wonderful in this bubble of life I have built but I know life is not about butterflies and daises and roses there are hard times in life and I have been through them but I do not want to think about it.

Life is better if we let God plan our life and seek heavenly guidance before any major decision or choice I have learnt to plan small things in my life now like picnics but what I learnt so far is let God do the planning and we walk in His plans.

Let us pray:-

Dear God you plan my life from now on make my mess of a life into a message for the world so that I walk in God’s plan.

Live life to the fullest with God being your Captain.

Lots of love and from the Indian Aunty

Hi there dearest dearest munchkins, sweetypies, my cho cho chweet friends, how are you all doing ? Well I had an interesting week just watched the Bollywood movie Cocktail which it was aptly named fewer the words the better but I thank God for happy endings.

Well my dear cutey pies today I am going to talk to wifes out there, the mummies out there. In one of my previous blogs I stressed on the point to looking good for our better halfs now I going to tell you something learn to complement him. Tell him honey you look smart in that pair of Jeans and white shirt or tell him wow look at that tux it will make you look so handsome. Buy him small gifts of cufflinks, or deodorant, after shave or even perfume in this world and age even men like to be treated once in a while if you are not in the buying thing, bake him a cake, cook him nice dinner just show him how much you appreciate him.

Men they work from 9-5pm they are busy sometimes they get stressed do not irritate or complain to them, let it wait give them a good meal and when they are well settled talk to them in a soft voice. Aggression in women is a turn off so is miss “bitchitities”  please be patient with him. Women you can never be his mother but be his best second half listen to him, counsel him, no one knows him better than you do make life exciting in the week ends play scrabble or Uno just be his best friend.

I have learnt if you want your marriage to work be his best and closest friend then of course take time with your figure, hair and make up and if there is a fight I urge you women to be humble enough to apologize to him. Men you too need to take care of your women and treat them well with date nights every week we need marriages to work. We need humility in our lives before God and before our spouses and we need to bring back love for our wives and for our families.

So let the God of Love reign in our lives

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

Hi there dear sweet munchkins, my dear sweetypies, how are you all doing ? I would firstly like to thank all of you who commented on my site thank you so much .  The world looks brighter and chirper because of your comments.

Today I would like to talk about change. What is change ? How do we change ? Let me tell you every second there is in time there is change of some sort or other. How do we mankind change we need to prioritize will this benefit my family, will it benefit others close to me, will it benefit the Lord?

Learn to let go of past mistakes, learn to let go of wrongs done to you those who did you wrong would have forgotten about it why should you hold on it and get psychosomatic diseases let go.

I have had a lot to let go of and now am really happy inside and out.

Think positive and act positive if someone is mean just smile and say isn’t it a lovely day soon your infectious positivity will rub off on the whole town. Let me tell you something personal I always cared what people thought of me. My dad was an Anglican Minister and he strictly said no dating in University so I never dated in University never rebelled and never partied because of the fear of bringing shame to the family.

When I was in 26 or 27 years old and way past marriageable age my mum was looking into Shadi.Com for prospective bridegrooms that was the time I put my foot down and said  I want a love marriage or the marriage where I get to fall in love as I was a hopeless romantic due to the 100’s of mills and boons I had read.

Then I met this gorgeous Irish man fell in love and got married. Life has not been a bed of roses but my husband has been a stable source of comfort and help and we have been blessed with a gorgeous daughter.

I hope to move with the times and let my daughter date and be a normal teenager but at the same time instill some of the values of my Indian culture and provide her with a stable and secure home.

In conclusion I would like to put up this poem I wrote some time back :-

Riddles

Why so confusing,The life and future, contemplating

What job would best suit our needs, debating

Does God really exist, questioning

How did God exist before he existed, thought provoking

Is love a fact or a feeling, emotions heightening

Does God speak through thunder and lightening ,frightening

Are there other worlds beside our own? Aliens emerging

Does heaven and earth one day meet? The universes merging

Yet the cross remains standing ,truth arising

The lamb who died on the cross had a marking

The starting of another world in a making
 ,The heavens applauding

Angles descending on earth
Cause this new world is starting , shocking

The universe in the making

Yet time is left starting and ending
 , To make time obsolete,

This new world shall emerge without time
,Yet created before time for a time
 Clock ticking

So dear sweet munchkins hope you have a wonderful weekend you are precious in God’s eyes and hope you have a wonderful week ahead lots of love from the Spicy Indian Tandoori I mean aunty

Everyone deserves a chance to love and be loved in return

Hi there munchkins this blog is designed specially for those who are looking for love. I believe every human being has a partner specially designed for him or her. When God made man God made them male and female. Now through the evolving of the world and the evolving of morals there are relationships between man and man or woman and woman.

I am not here to judge or criticize you or push religion down your throats. In fact I have a few gay guy friends. I love these people who have one longing that is love.

Love the ungodly, love the gay or lesbian. Do you know there is a prostitute in the lineage of Jesus called Rahab. Love the different and the difficult. Love the gothics they are just expressing how they feel to the world.

Man can be born that way to be attracted to men or there must be some underlying problem in his life. There are even Christian eunuchs or transvestites in the Bible who are mentioned in the Old and New Testament. There is the place in heaven for the different.

People in this fallen world where there is binge drinking, one night stands and homosexual relationships all cry out for one word and that is love. Unconditional Love and acceptance into this world for who they are.

Why should we categorize people by their outward appearance be it a particular religion, race, dress sense or if they are who they are. Let me tell you something Jesus was a non conformist . He brought about free grace and forgiveness of sins by dying a shameful death on the cross. He did not judge the woman caught in adultery. He spoke to a woman who had many husbands where even speaking to someone of the opposite sex was considered a sin much less a Samaritan woman.

He saw the corruption in the Synagogue and overturned the tables and drove out the self righteous bigots or Pharisees.

He was not a Pharisee he was a carpenter by trade a simple non conforming human being who drank wine  and ate with the people the world turned it’s back on.

He dined with the tax collectors and prostitutes and touched lepers and healed them. Who are we to judge the gays, lesbians, prostitutes  or the gothics they are people like you and me seeking love, seeking their identity and seeking a God of love.

Do not be a bigot or gossiper if you point out one finger at them with your self righteous seat remember there are four fingers pointing back at you.

Learn to love, The Bible says love your neighbor as your self . The greatest command in the Bible is LOVE. If you want to change the world have LOVE .  Friend LOVE exists it is real like a warm waterfall. Man, relationships, money can not give you that love but God can. I do not care if you are a drug addict or alcoholic or have had multiple sexual partners but just go into a room close the door and say God if you are real show me your love minimum time is 15 minutes and watch him spread his love over you. Just try it once you have love , That love can take the place of addictions what ever it is. He is real and He loves you.

Love from the non conforming

Indian Aunty

There is no sincerer love than the love of food. George Bernard Shaw

Hi there dear friends, it is me the Indian Aunty again. How are all of you sweetypies doing. Well I the Indian aunty am officially a size 12 now and my Irish beau who is my husband took me shopping.

I no longer wobbled but I walked but my dear sweetypies I want to drop 2 more dress sizes. So that graceful brown swan will emerge .

Love in human relationships is conditional but God’s love is unconditional. The natural human tendency is you scratch my back and I scratch yours. This is nice with your beau in a private Jacuzzi but coming back to my point love is almost always conditional but a mother’s love is unconditional .

When I gave birth to my beautiful daughter I felt such a rush of overwhelming  love to this beautiful helpless human being.  In my eyes she could do no wrong  and she was and is perfect. I decided when I got married I will love my husband unconditionally because for me I personally feel conditional love is not true love.

I learnt at a young age about God’s unconditional love for us and we are not Gods but children of an omnipotent or all powerful, omniscient or all knowing  God. This wonderful God who forgives all our sins no matter what we do because of His great love died for us on the cross so that we do not need to die to our sins if we ask Him to forgive our sins and come into our hearts.

I remember a time when I took part in a big singing competition my father Rev Canon Rajkumar Sathyaraj came up to me and said “ if you win or lose remember I love you and am proud of you” I came second in that competition but because of my father’s words I felt like I was on top of the world that day.

Our Lord Jesus Christ loves you if you are good or bad, if you  drink or have addictions he can set you free. He loves you unconditionally and we must learn to love others unconditionally which includes our spouses, children or even friends. No one is perfect and life is not a bed of roses and there are thorns and those thorns can include bad people but just write on a piece of  paper their names and then say it out aloud I forgive you and either tear that paper or burn that paper up and just see your life will be free of worry.

Hakuna Mattata  the Lion King song says no more worries give God your worries and watch Him take control by the way Hakuna Mattata is a good song to sing on holidays but we have to live in a imperfect world after the fall of Adam and Eve but let us make the most of our lives and happy Hakuna Mattata and unconditional love.

Peace , Love , Joy and Happiness to you all

Love  from the Indian Aunty who is officially a size 12 UK

Call of God

INTRODUCTION

We will abandon it all for the sake of the call, no other reason at all but the sake of the call, wholly devoted to live and to die , for the sake of the call,

Not for the sake of a creed or a cause, not for a dream or a promise, simply because it is Jesus who calls and if we believe we’ll obey.

(Taken from the song, For the Sake of the Call, by Steven Curtis Chapman)

Rom. 8:30:  And those He predestined, he also called, those he called, he also justified, those He justified, he also glorified.

I believe every Christian has a call on their lives.  We are all chosen by God and God has a specific plan for our lives and we can either accept this plan and purpose and go His way;  or we can reject it.  If God calls us for a specific task, God will confirm this call through the scriptures, through His people and provide for that specific call.  Where God calls and guides, God provides.

WOMEN CALLED BY GOD

RACHEL JOY

“I am not going to apologize for speaking the name of Jesus.  I am not going to justify my faith to them and I am not going to hide the light that God has put into me.  If I have to sacrifice everything .. I will.  I will take it.  If my friends have to become my enemies for me to be with my best friend Jesus, then that’s fine with me.”  (Extracts of a letter by Rachel Joy, p. 96)

Rachel Joy was a teenager from America who was killed for her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Through her life millions have been blessed.  Jesus had a call on her life.  The journal in which she wrote her prayers to God indicates the intimate relationship she had with the Almighty.  This girl has made a big impact not only on my life but on the lives of people all over the world, especially the young people.

Joan D’ Arc

Her martyr’s death the Living God repaid

A girl, she speaks to us from History

A well-armed slyph she led a vast crusade

The world recalls the tale of Joan the Maid.

(Extract of the poem, Joan the Maid, written by Michael Fountina)

Joan d’Arc was a teenager who died a martyr’s death.  According to the Catholic Encyclopedia “her simplicity, piety and good sense appear at every turn, despite the attempts of the judges to confuse her”.  God had an awesome calling in the life of Joan d’Arc expressed in one of her letters written to Sire de Rotslaaer written from Lyons on 22 April, 1429.  According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, he reports the maid said “that she would save Orleans and would compel the English to raise the siege, that she herself in a battle before Orleans would be wounded by a shaft but would not die of it, and that the King, in the course of the coming summer, would be crowned at Reims, together with the other things which the King keeps secret”.  Joan d’Arc, with a call of God on her life, not only led a vast army of men in battle but also fulfilled the call of God on her life.

MOTHER TERESA

“There is a terrible hunger for love.  We all experience that in our lives – the pain, the loneliness.  We must have the courage to recognize it.  The poor you may have right in your own family.  Find them.  Love them.  Put your love for them in living action.  For in loving them you are loving God himself” (by Mother Teresa).  Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, and she was the youngest of three children.  When Mother Teresa was 18, she joined the order of the sisters of Our Lady of Loreto in Ireland.  It was on 10 September, 1946, God enlightened Mother Teresa with his call on her life while traveling on a train to Darjeeling, a hill station in the Himalayas. In quiet, intimate prayer with her Lord she heard distinctly what she referred to as “a call within a call”.   According to Mother Teresa, “I realized that I had the call to take care of the sick and the dying, the hungry, the naked, the homeless – to be God’s love in action to the poorest of the poor.  That was the beginning of the missionaries of Charity.”  She was aware of what she had to do, but she did not know how to get there.  She had previously been called to the religious life but God further called her to another kind of work and service in the religious life.  Mother Teresa’s life and call has touched the hearts of people all around the world.  She embodied the love of God on earth.  Her selfless giving nature has been an eye opener to a selfish materialistic world.  According to Mother Teresa “I see God in every human being.  When I wash the leper’s wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord Himself.  Is it not a beautiful experience?”

AMY CARMICHAEL

The love that leads the way,

The faith that nothing can dismay,

The hope no disappointments live,

The passion that will burn like fire.

(by Amy Carmichael)

Amy Carmichael was an Irish missionary who spent 53 years in South India.  She founded the Dohnavaur Fellowship, a refuge for children in moral danger, especially young girls from the age of four who were sent to the temples to be used as prostitutes by the priests.  These girls were taught to sing and dance and bring pleasure to these temple priests.  The call of Amy Carmichael was to save these girls, and sometimes even boys, from this kind of life and Amy Carmichael became a mother to these girls.  She was called Amma which means mother.  Amy Carmichael, a beautiful woman of God with a definite call and purpose for her life, never married.  Amy Carmichael states “Do I regret now that for your sake I chose to do without that which nature desires, what was pressed upon me, so that I might serve ‘without distraction’, as Paul puts it?  No indeed I do not.”

Amy Carmichael had an impact on the lives of thousands of children in South India Dohnavur.

GRANNY BRAND

I realize now it had to be

Before He taught my soul to pray

Before the glory I could see

The Glory He promised me.

(by Granny Brand)

Evelyn Constance Brand and Jesse Brand came to India as missionaries on 28th August, 1913.  Evelyn had responded silently to a call of God on her life when Jesse spoke at a missionary meeting in St John’s Wood chapel speaking about his work in India.  She told her family she wanted to be a missionary and the Mission Board accepted her application to work in India where she again met up with Jesse Brand whom she later married.  Jesse Brand died of blackwater fever in 1928, and Evelyn Brand with a definite call on her life brought Christianity to the low caste inhabitants of all five mountain ranges of South India.  The ministry and call of Granny Brand was unique because she was a nurse, teacher and preacher to the diseased and poverty stricken hill people of South India.

Joni Eareckson Tada

Joni Eareckson Tada broke her neck in 1967 during a diving accident in which she became a quadriplegic.  The call of God came on her life.  Joni sensed God speaking to her saying “Joni, I want you to live life without use of your hands or legs and learn to smile while doing it.”  God also seemed to tell her “I want you to be my audiovisual aid of how My strength shows up best in weakness.”  Joni Eareckson is truly a testimony of God’s strength showing up in weakness and her life after her accident has accomplished much for God;.  God calls and uses us when we least expect it, when we are least prepared, when we are not termed perfect by worldly standards.  Moses felt the same way, yet God chose Moses to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.  He was a poor speaker yet God made him the greatest leader.

MEN WITH A CALLING

MAHATMA GANDHI

“Austerity implies external renunciation, endurance and sometimes even hypocrisy.  But saintliness is an inner quality of the soul.  My mother’s austerity was only an echo of her inner life.  If you notice any purity in me, I have inherited it from my mother, and not from my father.  Mother died at the early age of forty.  I have been a witness of her behaviour in the flower of youth, but never did I see in her any frivolity, any recourse to beauty aids or interest in the pleasures of life.  The only impression she ever left on my mind is that of saintliness.”

Mahatma Gandhi definitely had a calling on his life.  He preached Satyagraha, or in other words, non-violence.  Mahatma Gandhi has definitely played a major role in the nation of India.  Practising satyagraha or non-violence, he brought about freedom to India.  Practising swaderhi or buying only Indian made goods, he boosted the economy.  Gandhigi was really a role model to the Indians – one frail, puny man accomplished the independence of a nation.  Yet my only regret being an Indian myself is that he did not have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Rumours have it that he was an avid reader of the word of God yet he did not know God.    Hypothetically speaking, if Mahatma Gandhi was a Christian, the whole of India would have been saved.  Gandhi had a call on his life – not a holy, higher calling, but a calling to bring about freedom and independence to India.

MARTIN LUTHER

“Although I lived an irreproachable life as a monk, I felt that I was a sinner with an uneasy conscience before God, nor was I able to believe that I had pleased him with my satisfaction”.  At last, God being merciful, as I meditated day and night on the connection of the words ‘the righteousness of God is revealed in it, as it is written’, ‘the righteous shall live by faith’, I began to understand that righteousness of God.” (Martin Luther, Theology of the Cross)

Martin Luther, this incredible man with an incredible call and purpose, I believe is the father of Protestantism.  Martin Luther plays a significant role in the reformation or, in other words, the purpose of reformation and had the courage given by God to stand up for the authority of the word of God.  This man, I believe, was predestined for this specific call on his life.

MY CALLING

When I was nine years old, I was miraculously healed of asthma in a healing crusade.  When I turned ten, my father, who is now a missionary pastor in Egypt, spoke about preaching the gospel to the people.  In that service, I dedicated my life to God to serve Him.  I came home and wrote a poem which says “I want to be a servant of God, you may ask me why, that’s between God and me and nothing can destroy, the love of God for me.  He saved me from the pangs of death when I was about to die and this is not a lie, for He has a purpose and this purpose is I”.

God has blessed me with a good singing voice and other talents.  Yes, I do know God has a plan and purpose for my life and God has a call on my life.  What that specific call is I do not know.  What I do know is whatever way He is willing to use me, I am willing and I will be obedient to Him.  If God wants me to be a light that shines in the corner, I will;  if He wants me to be on a pedestal, I will.  My heart’s desire is that the glory of the Lord will be manifested in me and through me, through my life and through my testimony.

I would like to conclude with a poem I wrote sometime back while I was in Egypt.

Who am I?

That thought in my heart I ponder

What am I meant to be

Oh God, the future I just can’t foresee

Yet you care for me.

You didn’t just let me be,

You have a place and purpose

Thy Word is the key.

I came into the world a little seed,

Curious about the world so mysterious,

Bombarded with emotions hilarious,

At times delirious, at other times, furious

As I started to grow and mature to the tree I was meant to be,

I faced the storms of life

Into temptations I was tossed,

Yet through thy divine grace at Calvary

To temptation I was no longer held in slavery,

You set me free, enabling me to grow in sanctity,

Your word says, You shall bear fruit in season,

Seasons have come, seasons are gone,

Oh God, I feel so alone, why was I ever born,

Yet you on me never did frown,

The veil to enter the holy of holies was torn

By thy divine blood on the cross which was no loss,

At thy feet I place my supplication,

Oh Christ, on me make a divine transformation,

This season, let me see my life has a reason

Let me bear fruit at a dozen

Change my heart, my attitude

As I grow and mature in thy attitude,

As I pray I feel thy presence come as a ray

I feel the power of thy awesome presence like rain on me does spray

Father, when will you use me

Is it today?

I feel the rain come on me washing all my doubts and fears without a trace

Speaking to me through a gentle breeze

Thy love for me will never cease

I hear they voice saying my plans for you will be fulfilled come what may

All your have to do, daughter, is to pray.
