Family

Hello dear sweet friends ? How have you been ? Well I have been busy doing the usual wifely and motherly chores and duties. Hoovering or vacuuming, cooking delicious authentic Indian food but not as authentic as in India as I use very little spices  so that it is palatable for my husband.

You know mothers are the best teachers in the world and they can bring up presidents to lawyers to doctors mothers play a very important role in a child’s life. Do not underestimate fathers they too can provide a stable home for their sons and daughters.

Family a beautiful social unit. A wonderful relationship between husbands and wives and this social unit becomes a cultural unit, a democratic unit of a land they live in. Family is a relationship between parents and children and husbands and wives. In this day and age of divorce, adultery, swigging and swinging it is not fun or rebellion it is a disgraceful breakdown of morals and rebellion against not just your spouses but against God.

Dear ones sorry if I am being harsh but I am not a religious person and I do not even go to church every Sunday but I am spiritual and I believe  in the Lord God and I do not think of me as a school teacher confiscating your sweets but you look deep within do you feel good and happy getting drunk and having one night stands. Sex feels good for a few moments then  you think to your self what the heck have I done.

I did not have the privilege of getting married at a young age but I got married in the late 20’s. But some how God saved me, and made me wait  for my husband as a virgin. I actually thought I may never get married but I wanted to get married but now being a wife and a mother I am contended. I would like to get a job sometime later but now my sweet angel of a daughter needs me at home.

Yes I feel blessed even the kettle to make coffee and tea when I want, the stove to try out new recipes some wonderful , some disasters are all a blessing from God..My birthday is this month I am in my early thirties and all I can say is thank you God for my family and thank you for what I have so from a contended mummy and wife. from the Indian aunty

Words, Relationships and Tango

Hi there dearest darlings, how have you been? Let me start with a story “ Once there was a man who wanted to buy a horse  let us call this man “A “so he went to all the places they were selling horses but he could not find a horse. Till he met this brethren man who was selling his horse, so before he let “A” try his horse he said this is a Christian horse brother “A” if you say “Praise the Lord the horse will gallop, if you say Hallelujah the horse will run very fast and when you say Amen the horse will stop” So A was very excited and he said to the horse Praise the Lord , “A” was very excited and shouted Hallelujah the horse started galloping very fast till “A” saw the horse was going towards the edge of a cliff. “A” got scared and shouted stop, stop , but the horse went on galloping till “A” shouted in fright GOD save me “AMEN” the horse heard the AMEN and stopped at the very edge of the cliff in his relief  “A” shouted Praise The Lord and…..went over the cliff :(.

Praise the Lord it is not a true story but what I would like to say to all my readers gourd your mouths even when you are upset. Take a deep breath count to 10 and let out the steam. By then the pressure cooker of the anger will be a bit more mellow. I had this problem of telling my whole life history to people who I just met sometimes that was a good thing if done with people from church or people who care about you but at other times it can be used against you.

So discretion should be part of your lifestyle. Women have more intuition than men but men are more practical. So men it is wise to listen to your wives for advice and women do not nag your men but in clear ways explain to them why you think they should do as you say.

The relationship with your words between you and your spouse is like the dance of tango at times it is emotional and beautiful at other times you feel like chewing the steam of the rose between your teeth at other times it is a beautiful symphony. Darlings that is relationship and words in this relationship is vital.

There were once three janitors working in a building one janitor kept saying one day I will own this company and did not do his job as he kept talking, another janitor said I hate my job I should be some where else and kept telling everyone how much he hated his job and wanted to quit but one janitor did not say a word and just did a good job soon the one who kept saying he will own the company was fired as he was all talk and no work the other janitor quit his job and was unemployed but the quiet one who did his work well, well he became the manager of the company.

Dear ones let us talk less ,listen more and accomplish more for our own lives, our spouse, our children and above all else our Lord God.

So from Tango to roses

Metamorphoses

Hi there dearest sweet munchkins, how are you my sweet, sweet friends hope you are doing well ? Life is like a game of cards you can gamble with life and come out with Aces but whatever card you choose to play remember there are others playing the game as well.

How do we strategize our next move if you are playing poker, solatire, or just fun games as snap remember it is You who govern your destiny. God has a plan but you have the choice so choose your card well.

Your destiny lies in your hands sometimes society tries to govern us and keep us defeated but the Phoenix rose from the fiery ashes people thought they had destroyed the bird but that was when it rose in all it’s glory.

The butterfly was a worm which slept in a cocoon for a long time but one day metamorphous took place and out emerged this beautiful creature. My dear ones you may have fallen, or working too hard on your job or are just looking for your job or are just waiting for that promotion remember your time to shine will arise.

God has a plan do not fight Him. He is unbeatable do not run from Him as you may end up in the waters but let Him guide you and you will be more prosperous, happier and more contented it does not mean sell all you have and go to Timbuktu  as a missionary no listen to your heart , your intuition and God will open that door for you and me.

The days of slogging on the mission field is not as necessary as it used to be we now have media and technology, cell phones and Google the whole world is connected by television and iPhones’ and BlackBerrys.

What we need is to tell the next generation of our God and instill in them values of our Faith in God. Dear ones do not just live in the present think about the future for our children and may be arise to a better, brighter and more lovelier tomorrow.

From the Indian Aunty  saying” There is Hope for a Better Tomorrow”

Sunrise to Sunset

Hi there dear sweet pies, munchkins, moi chere’s, my so so sweet cutepies how are you all today? Today I the Indian aunty came back from the holidays’ happier and refreshed by the cool sea breeze and crisp mountain air. I saw a beautiful sunrise yesterday and just spoke to the Almighty watching that beautiful glowing ball going up to the sky. If he the creator could create such a magnitude of beauty such as the that revolves around the earth with the earth spinning like a top both going around but not colliding how much more he will care for you and me. This Almighty God who created the sparrows and says not one will fall on to the earth without His knowing who much so you and me. He knows the number of hairs on my head how much so he cares for you and me. Dear friends how did we evolve  was it some cosmic big bang it was God who created us He made it all perfect but man fell and perfection was put behind immm yes we are all imperfect. If we look at models they look perfect and I too am striving for perfection physically but man no one is perfect. There is a time that our Lord Jesus said no one is perfect expect God Almighty. Perfection can strived for but not attained we are going from glory to glory we will be perfect in God’s kingdom where we will be glorified. What I am trying to say is  by reading the word of God praying and just living a simple life we are going from one stage to another the more we read  the word and pray but we will be perfect only when God Almighty takes us to our heaven People ask me what is this heavenly home I say wait and see this imperfect but wonderfully amalgamated, cosmopolitised, computerized, innovative world will one day see this world God is creating for us. It maybe in this lifetime or the next but as you the skies change color of orange, pink, and yellow  as the sun sets remember He is coming to bring this New World of peace in mind, heart, politically, religiously, and   socially the word for peace in Indian is Shanti so let the Shanti of God rule and govern us today Lots of love , joy and peace Indian aunty

If Someone Slaps You On The Left Cheek Turn the Right Cheek As Well

Dear munchkins, my sweetypies my Cho Cho Chweet friends when I was young I watched a movie with Bud Spencer acting in it  I forgot the name of the movie. In that movie Bud and his friend go as missionaries to another place and one man who knew a bit of the Bible came to Bud and said it says “in the Bible if someone slaps you on one cheek turn the other cheek as well” and slaps Bud hard on the cheek, Bud immediately gets  the guy by the color and beats him up . Bud’s friend immediately comes up to Bud and shouts  at Bud to stop hitting the guy and reminds him of the Bible as Bud lets this guy go and all he said was “HE SLAPED ME  ON THE WRONG CHEEK”

Dear friends I come from India a land of democracy , peace, meditation, yoga and above all sathyagraha or non- violence started by our great freedom fighter Mahatma Ghandhi. How can we love people who have wronged us, forgive people who have done us harm. This issue goes back 2000 years back when Jesus on the cross said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” These people literally put nails through Jesus palms and feet and hung him on the cross.

If He who did wrong to no one forgave them how much more should we forgive.

I was wronged today by some sales people I was upset but I knew I had to forgive them and now this situation is on the bygones list on my mind.

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth will make the world blind and toothless  No we as people should not take revenge and justice is there any meaning in that word today if a lot of people have wronged us do we seek justice no seek to love them through prayer difficult but doable why love because Love is stronger than hate. I am no saint and there are times the fuse of my heart of love has had lighting problems but I do some breathing exercises, pray and leave my burdens at the feet of the God of light.

Let me tell you after that I am back to normal because He Christ lives in me.Tap into that inner energy and the God of light and peace will give you a Hakuna Matata journey through life no worries, worry does not accomplish any thing it is difficult to be worry free and care free but it is possible.

Let me end with a song because He lives I can face tomorrow because He lives all fear is gone because I know He holds my future and Life is worth a living because my Savior lives

Love will it still be there after 25 years of marriage

Dear munchkins, my darling friends will we be in love after 25years, Lets go through different stages of love, firstly is idolising your daddy or mummy they are perfect parents. I always thought my father was the handsomest man in the world till I got a crush on Amir Khan who is a famous actor. It was infatuation and a crush. Every one male or female have a crush or puppy love for some one at their early teen age years.

Then you get your boyfriends and girlfriends late teenage years and more crushes and infatuations till you meet the one and then in early marriage you have passed from friendship stage to lover’s stage better a little said about this topic as you can read various books about it but this is a wonderful, stage from getting to know each other physically , emotionally  and psychologically .

Then it becomes Mother and Father phase where your children become more important than the spouse and the lover mode goes to the pressure cooker mode and if you are a woman cooking, cleaning, doing errands that pressure cooker is gona whistle quite loudly sometimes but let me tell you mothers take some me time, read books, make some herbal tea and relax after the kids have gone to sleep.

Then comes middle age the weight piles on our children are teenagers and we try to get them to good colleges and they want to travel or work or want to be models or dancers not quite what we had in mind for our little ones but this is the time we come up a few promotions on our jobs and it helps fund your children’s dreams.

Then your children find boyfriends or girlfriends and want to get married that is when the savings account comes in helpful. Then before you know it you are grand parents and now your relationship with your spouse is companionship and fun from playing golf to babysitting life can not be more peaceful .

Through all these phases remember to ask do you love me darling and I tell you I know none knows you better than your partner and the answer is yes I Do, from the walk down that isle till the end I love you

If you are single and looking for love this article is for you

Match maker, match maker make me a match, this famous song sung in the movie Fiddler on the roof. Dear friends, are you single, a single parent, divorced or just looking for a partner to love. This blog is for you :-

When I was in my early  twenties I decided I wanted to be a nun, but I loved make –up , high heels and pretty dresses sure I could have hidden it in my habit some where. I was quite serious and my mum was crying to all her family that I was going to be well a nun who liked to dress up for the mass or service on Sunday but as I reached my mid twenties my desire to be held and loved by some one over powered my desire of the Habit.

No I could not be a nun I was like a tabby cat who liked her furs and make-up and waited for that hug from her beau ( we did not kiss till 4 months into courting) was I wrong in wanting a relationship and family the answer is no. Every one needs love and I believe every one has a soul mate.

I was 27 when I met my husband and 28 when we got married I would have preferred to have got married earlier but I was in the nun mode and met none. It is a rare gift to be celibate not every one has that gift except a chosen few like the apostle Paul, Mother Theresa, Amy Carmichael, these are special people, people who give of themselves for a higher call.

Now we have the other extreme of  bed hopping, no I am not judging you but sex is an emotional, physical, psychological process two bodies entwining in physical union is beautiful and can create another  human being it should not be taken lightly. I saved my self for marriage not that I had many opportunities to give up my virginity but I wanted my wedding night to be special with my husband all I can say was it was trial and error.

But if you have had sex before it is not wrong or shameful, but look for that one special person and before you hop into bed think will this act be a blessing on my life or if you are in love get married , if you are in a live in  relationship as many people are doing that these days make a commitment to each other before God.

God does not get angry, he will not punish you and He loves and cares for both of you. God did not judge the Samaritan woman with 4 husbands.

Mary Magdalene a follower of Jesus was a prostitute and when she poured perfume on his feet, washed his feet her tears and wiped his feet with her hair she was made brand new again just like a virgin she was clean.

Dear ones God has that one man or woman for you, there are many ways of meeting your life partner, university, church, computers , work places, Shadi.Com

There is someone for everyone keep praying and remember do not worry what people think of you only your relationship to God and your partner matter I am not here to judge you every one is different if Jesus did not judge people how much more so should we be like Jesus. Love is what the world needs and Love is what Jesus came to give.

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

Hi there dear sweet munchkins, my dear sweetypies, how are you all doing ? I would firstly like to thank all of you who commented on my site thank you so much .  The world looks brighter and chirper because of your comments.

Today I would like to talk about change. What is change ? How do we change ? Let me tell you every second there is in time there is change of some sort or other. How do we mankind change we need to prioritize will this benefit my family, will it benefit others close to me, will it benefit the Lord?

Learn to let go of past mistakes, learn to let go of wrongs done to you those who did you wrong would have forgotten about it why should you hold on it and get psychosomatic diseases let go.

I have had a lot to let go of and now am really happy inside and out.

Think positive and act positive if someone is mean just smile and say isn’t it a lovely day soon your infectious positivity will rub off on the whole town. Let me tell you something personal I always cared what people thought of me. My dad was an Anglican Minister and he strictly said no dating in University so I never dated in University never rebelled and never partied because of the fear of bringing shame to the family.

When I was in 26 or 27 years old and way past marriageable age my mum was looking into Shadi.Com for prospective bridegrooms that was the time I put my foot down and said  I want a love marriage or the marriage where I get to fall in love as I was a hopeless romantic due to the 100’s of mills and boons I had read.

Then I met this gorgeous Irish man fell in love and got married. Life has not been a bed of roses but my husband has been a stable source of comfort and help and we have been blessed with a gorgeous daughter.

I hope to move with the times and let my daughter date and be a normal teenager but at the same time instill some of the values of my Indian culture and provide her with a stable and secure home.

In conclusion I would like to put up this poem I wrote some time back :-

Riddles

Why so confusing,The life and future, contemplating

What job would best suit our needs, debating

Does God really exist, questioning

How did God exist before he existed, thought provoking

Is love a fact or a feeling, emotions heightening

Does God speak through thunder and lightening ,frightening

Are there other worlds beside our own? Aliens emerging

Does heaven and earth one day meet? The universes merging

Yet the cross remains standing ,truth arising

The lamb who died on the cross had a marking

The starting of another world in a making
 ,The heavens applauding

Angles descending on earth
Cause this new world is starting , shocking

The universe in the making

Yet time is left starting and ending
 , To make time obsolete,

This new world shall emerge without time
,Yet created before time for a time
 Clock ticking

So dear sweet munchkins hope you have a wonderful weekend you are precious in God’s eyes and hope you have a wonderful week ahead lots of love from the Spicy Indian Tandoori I mean aunty

Civilization as it is known today could not have evolved, nor can it survive, without an adequate food supply. Norman Borlaug

Hi friends this is Indian Aunty again I was overwhelmed by the words of Dr Borlaug how could man have survived on planet earth if there was no food.

The sustenance of the very fiber of human life on this planet is the ability to produce food to be consumed by the peoples.

From the dawn of civilization on planet earth .Man had one thought on earth the production and consumption of food for survival. If we look at Biblical history in the book of Genesis. Adam and Eve’s sons Cain and Abel both worked on the production of food for consumption of their families. Cain was a farmer and Abel a Shepard.

Food has evolved over time from the time man found the use of fire to cook food and the use of spices from the exotic places of belly dancers like the Middle East and the land of temples and graceful exotic silks and temples and beautiful dancers such as India. The preparation and consumption of food has evolved.

From the discovery of tea in India and coffee to the scientists who took farming in the developed  world to another level by using their scientific methods to form hybrid varieties of food more maximum amount of taste , texture and variety.

In the sub-continent of India of where I the  Indian aunty is from we have many kinds of soil for agriculture the most productive soil is the alluvial soil for agriculture this soil is very rich in minerals and very productive for plant growth. The alluvial soil is the volcanic debris that the volcano left and these debris are very rich in minerals and vitamins and the best soil for agriculture.

In the 21st century the scientists have found various methods of making the soils more agricultural. In the Middle East now the arid lands are producing food thanks to modern irrigation systems and ways of making the soil fertile.

“I am but one member of a vast team made up of many organizations, officials, thousands of scientists, and millions of farmers – mostly small and humble – who for many years have been fighting a quiet, oftentimes losing war on the food production front.”

Norman Borlaug

Dr Borlaug continues to tell us how the farmers in the developing world have to fight red tapism in order to grow their produce. In India many farmers do not have modern technology such as tractors and they depend on the monsoons for their produce of crops and now due to global warming these monsoons are unpredictable and these farmers do not have modern irrigation systems.

I believe that the governments of developing countries must help these farmers so that food production will increase and making the prices of food accessible for those in the poverty line so that there will be food for those who are earning much less than the average man.

In the 21st century where science and technology have developed so much where developed countries are setting up multi-national companies in developing countries such as India I read recently that IKEA is spending millions of dollars to open it’s shops in India. This will provide employment as well as help the Indian economy.

Now coming back to the small farmers whose livelihood is the growth of food on their soil many of these farmers are in debt and many starve even though they grow food we should help these farmers through paying for their irrigation methods and providing hybrid seeds.

My father’s younger brother Ranjit and his wife Suzy are farmers and one profound point which my uncle said in an interview was the land does not belong to us we belong to the land. If we look at this spiritually or philosophically from the time of Genesis. Creator  God created man and woman from soil and let them live in the garden of Eden. Man and Woman belonged in the garden of Eden and had to abide by the rules of the garden of Eden. The garden of Eden did not belong to them they belonged to the garden of Eden.

Now let us look at this politically every country has boundaries and people of that particular country belong within those boundaries and people within that country abide by the rules and regulations put forth by the government of that particular country. The land does not belong to them they belong to that land.

Now let us look at this sociologically the smallest social unit is the family and this family live in a home and people in that home abide by the rules and regulations of that particular home. The land does not belong to the family members they belong to that land and as generation goes by everyone belonging to that land sets up rules and regulations.

Now when we leave this earth our bodies go back to the very beginning of where we were formed back to the land. I have put up an interview of my dad’s younger brother Ranjit who is extremely intelligent and wise and I would like you to listen to this interview of farming. I believe that one day there will be food for all human beings on this planet earth especially those of the under developed and developing countries in this centaury of science and technology man should never go hungry.

“Food is the moral right of all who are born into this world.”

Norman Borlaug

My weightloss Journey

My mother has been my inspiration on my weight loss journey. She has always been thin and never had a weight problem. She inspires me and is my mentor on losing weight. I am now 162.8 pounds. My mother has been a teacher for 20 years and now works along side my dad Rev Canon Rajkumar Sathyaraj. My mother is kind, loving and hospitable. I am very proud to be her daughter and hope one day my daughter will be as proud of me as I am of my mother.

My mother has never worried about her weight as she has never been overweight and she always eats small portion sizes. I dedicate this blog to my mentor and inspirational supporter who is my mother. My mother has stood by my side through out my life and I never have heard her complaining. She has always been loving and cheerful plus empathetic to people’s feelings.

I could not have asked for a better or prettier mum and hope I can be the sort of mother my mother was to me. I love you mum thank you for being the inspiration for my weightloss.
