Let Go Of The Past

Dear sweet muchkins, sweety pies, darlings how have you been this week. Today I learnt a very important lesson and that was let go of the past whether it is past regrets or past glories let it go. King Solomon  a very wise King said everything man longs after is vanity be it riches or processions it is all vanity.

May be in your past you were a size zero and a bombshell but now well motherhood and cleaning and cooking have made you a bit frumpy but remember darlings there is always a rainbow amidst dark clouds. There is always sunshine after the rain.

Maybe you had a wonderful business in your past and now it is not as successful but so is the stock market there will come a time when it will go up and do well and just for the record the stock market for the gold shares is doing great and a great share to buy in the good old days of fun and innocence when I had just left university I was working with stocks and shares in the late 1990’s in ICICI Bank In Bangalore and at that time the stock market shares in gold went up triple the amount people paid for the shares and man was it exciting.

I failed in mathematics in the 9th grade but got the highest in English and home science but strangely my first job dealt with a whole lot of numbers and it was a wonderful learning experience. Then I left India to go abroad. Do I have regrets ? Strangely yes and no but from today I told myself I am not going to talk about my past glories  nor my past failures. Today is a new day live for today and plan for tomorrow. I decided it is good to plan rather than running like a headless chicken wondering what will I do tomorrow. My husband is a wonderful practical, analytical planner while I am intuitive and creative and there is a balance between the two being God.

There is a song which goes one day at a time sweet Jesus, those days turn to weeks, those weeks turn to months and those months turn to years if you do not plan you will be in the same place doing the same thing either grumbling or enjoying what you do. I hope it is the latter. Forgive and forget the past do not dwell in the past live in the present and plan for the future. Truthfully I have not planned anything yet but by the end of the year hopefully I can come up with a plan for life, apart from losing weight.

Dear ones today let go of past regrets ask God to help you let it go. Then look ahead not backwards look forward as they say in the army Forward March. So live today and plan for tomorrow yesterday you might have been the President what are you today unless you are Sir Obama.

So be someone great, do something worthwhile life is too short to dwell in your past make your present and future count.

Love always from the Indian Aunty xx

Family

Hello dear sweet friends ? How have you been ? Well I have been busy doing the usual wifely and motherly chores and duties. Hoovering or vacuuming, cooking delicious authentic Indian food but not as authentic as in India as I use very little spices  so that it is palatable for my husband.

You know mothers are the best teachers in the world and they can bring up presidents to lawyers to doctors mothers play a very important role in a child’s life. Do not underestimate fathers they too can provide a stable home for their sons and daughters.

Family a beautiful social unit. A wonderful relationship between husbands and wives and this social unit becomes a cultural unit, a democratic unit of a land they live in. Family is a relationship between parents and children and husbands and wives. In this day and age of divorce, adultery, swigging and swinging it is not fun or rebellion it is a disgraceful breakdown of morals and rebellion against not just your spouses but against God.

Dear ones sorry if I am being harsh but I am not a religious person and I do not even go to church every Sunday but I am spiritual and I believe  in the Lord God and I do not think of me as a school teacher confiscating your sweets but you look deep within do you feel good and happy getting drunk and having one night stands. Sex feels good for a few moments then  you think to your self what the heck have I done.

I did not have the privilege of getting married at a young age but I got married in the late 20’s. But some how God saved me, and made me wait  for my husband as a virgin. I actually thought I may never get married but I wanted to get married but now being a wife and a mother I am contended. I would like to get a job sometime later but now my sweet angel of a daughter needs me at home.

Yes I feel blessed even the kettle to make coffee and tea when I want, the stove to try out new recipes some wonderful , some disasters are all a blessing from God..My birthday is this month I am in my early thirties and all I can say is thank you God for my family and thank you for what I have so from a contended mummy and wife. from the Indian aunty

Made In India

Hi there dear sweetypies, my cho cho chweet friends, how are you doing this weekend ?  Today I am going to talk about “ Made In India” Have you seen the song made in India by Alisha. It was a very famous song during my college days late 1990’s it was a gripping song with an awesome message.

Do we really find similarities attract or do opposites attract. I think it can be vice versa. Love is a very strange and powerful force it can be used to unite or separate, it can produce strong emotions that are positive or negative emotions such as jealousy. I hope and pray we have positive emotions.

Women  I am talking to you, learn to love your husbands and do not be catty or B…tchy with other women, jealousy is negative and unattractive. I too have been catty many years back but my God has smoothed those rough edges and I try to see the good in other people and bring love and encouragement to them.

Learn to forgive sometimes the person you are forgiving maybe the innocent party after all and may have been inspired by some other people to do the wrong full act towards you. Whoever, whatever forgive and forget and let peace rule in your hearts,

Now coming back to made in India, not just the people but clothes especially Indian cotton clothes and traditional Indian attire such as sarees and kurthas are designed so gorgeously that it stands out as one of the most beautiful attire for women and men in the world,

Now coming to the people, Indian people are known for their intelligence especially in the computer field, indian music Mughals such as AR Rahman , Indian film directors such as Mani Ratnam and literary field my favourite author Rabindranath Tagore. Above all our freedom fighter through peace and non- violence Mahatma Ghandi.  These people should have got the Indian Nobel Prize..India a land of silks, spices, dances, exotic foods and cultures. It is a land one must visit to truly understand the world of India,

I am British Indian my husband is British and now Britain is my home land. A wise man once said “Adapt to the country you are living in yet do not forget your cultural heritage. Yes I am British yet every molecule in me is Indian,

Made in India yes I was, but now living abroad

Time for my tea

The Human Race

Hi there dear sweet munchkins, how are you all doing. Today I would like to talk about a wide spectrum of topics, different colours but same spectrum. Much like our world different races, cultures, heritage but same world that has spinning like a top among other planets, circled by other heavenly bodies some visible others invisible that even a fraction of  gravatical inconsistence can provide a great catastrophe but for thousands of years nothing like that has happened.

Who holds the gravitical spinning powers of our world and other worlds? Guess yes it starts with a G and ends with a D. Yes it is God. All he has to do is just stop gravity or stop the spins and we would be in No mans land yes there would be no man and there would be no land.

How awesome is this can you really believe that there was a Big Bang and womph there was an ape no it turned into man. That is rubbish, we are not monkeys, we are not angels we are the Human Race. We are homo sapiens. We are human beings. Yes the monkey is a mammal and so is the dolphin, and whale and elephant these creatures have high Mammalia IQ but dear ones they are  animals not human beings. One famous argument is that if monkeys turned into man why are they still monkeys now.

They are   animals we are human and there is a  division between the two and there is a psychological, physiological and biological gap between the two. I am not just proud to be Indo- British but I am proud to be a human being if every human is proud to be a human being they make themselves proud in any endeavour they do the world would be a better place. There would be  more creative thinkers and more businesses and better corruptionless governments.

The people of this world have to stand up and be proud for what they have got, healthy bodies, creative minds, medical science bringing out more cures and research for better medications such as cancer and aids and stem cell regeneration. Do something people don’t just sit on you’re A and ends with S and flip channels on your television and then gossip and grumble the world needs more creative thinkers. Yes that is you and me.

We all come from the same ancestors  and we will go where our ancestors went before us. But we are living in the now, now will not remain forever it will soon be past and be in the past let your present shine and be the best that we can be. If you want to change you can change, I can not change you but God can stop alcoholism and drug addiction or any not nice addiction we all have bad traits and that includes me but we can let it go and rise up and as people who can make an impact in this world. I want to be a blessing and be the best I can be and you can too.

You make you proud.

Do you have a game plan

My dearest sweet munchkins, sweetypies do you have a game plan for your life or your spouse’s life. If someone asked me if I have a plan the answer is realistic no. I wish I had a plan, I wish I can whisper my plans to somebody but the answer is no I do not have a plan. There are things that I would like but can’t see it in the near future but I do not have a plan there are always means to an end but the end is somewhere and like an island I do not have the  boat to get me what I want.

People say grow up act your age but I am me and I act the way I was brought up or society has made me. Every one has an inner child and we can push that inner child  or you just be you and that is what I am, I am me and not trying to copy or be someone else.

I am unique  as everyone is unique and I have my faults and yet I am me. No one is perfect, no one can have perfect thoughts or attitude but everyone has a bit of good and bad. I hope the good in me is greater than the bad.

Why the heck do we have to compare ourselves or compete with someone else maybe someone else has a game plan and you do not. Dear ones enjoy life, you are you and you are unique. If no one shows you love remember God loves you and He will never leave nor forsake you.

Maybe like me you have children who need your love and attention. Pour out your love to them and visit elderly relatives who need your love. What the world needs is undiluted, unsexualised pure love.

How can we love this way spend time reading spiritual books and prayer and meditation. Relax from your stress and worries. Do breathing exercises and then once you are energised you can give love to those near and dear to you. Don’t be selfish in love give a smile, or say hello or help someone in need and the God of love will shower his love on you.

Do you have a game plan the answer is No but my Lord has a plan and that is the best plan for my life. Let HIM the creator of life plan, seek his help and advice and any evil plan coming your way HE the Lord of life will destroy.

So do not be afraid or upset God has it all under control Believe and Expect the Best for your life. Life is too short for unnecessary, unrealistic ,competition.

So Smile and laugh and be happy. There is a song that goes have you got the sunshine smile or Colgate smile whatever smile and be happy.

Let Go Of The Hat

Hi there dear sweet muchkins, sweetypies, darlings how have you been ? Well this week I have been busy with my weightloss countdown. Been cooking healthy options and trying my best not to indulge in chocolate and cookies.

Weightloss is a journey that some individuals have to travel through. There are a lucky few that how they eat does not alter their physique but generous portions for the other half  lead to generous proportions of the latter half.

There was once an old lady whose skirt was flying high up in the wind but she did not let go of the hat that she was holding on to with both hands so a young man wanting to help her said “ mam your skirt is flying high up please pull your skirt down” To which she angrily replied mister  what you see is 80 years old but I only bought this hat yesterday”. 🙂

Dear ones let go of the hat what ever your worldly processions they are important but it is more important to to attend to the more obvious. It is time to let go of the hat and listen to sound advice. This advice can come through reading a self- help book, reading the Bible, or just listening to our spouse’s words, or mentor’s words. Some friends advice is genuine but there are others who can lead you astray or are jealous pray for wisdom to listen to what is sound and good for your journey on earth.

Choose your friends wisely and listen to the advice of your parents or loved ones who care about you. If a friend says sniff this drugs it is great Do not do it, you know it is wrong and it leads to death. Listen to inner  voice God usually speaks to us in this voice and if something seems not right you might just be right it is not right.

There are several factors that help us make choices when we are old enough to make decisions. It can be society, your family, your friends, your bosses, your colleagues but at the end of the day the choice is up to you.

Money is important but your loved ones, your spouse, your children are more important. May be you want to make a secure future for your loved ones it is true but neglecting them is as bad as spending all your earnings instead of saving for the future.

Dear ones it is time to let go of the hat and listen to sound advice or listen to your heart. Your heart will not lie.

Wishing you a happy life from

Weightloss countdown

Hi there dear sweet munchkins, darlings how are you all sweet hearts. Well I the Indian aunty have been doing a little bit of shopping and bought my family a fondue set. So when my sweet 16 birthday approaches  we can have fondue, well not exactly sweet16, but I decided though I am approaching middle age I am still a young girl inside , No I am not going to tell you my exact age yes I have decided to play the guessing game of my age.

Actually I am not depressed of my ageing process a lot like child birth there is always joy at the end and the countdown for my weightloss begins well again this time seriously, there is an Indian sweet called ladu and it is round and it needs an acquired taste but one should try it. Once someone asked me how do you do ? and my brother shouted like a “Ladu” two paise two. I was quite angry with my brother but we all somehow saw the humour of the situation.

I no longer want to be like a ladu so I joined weight watchers a slimming website very popular in the UK and currently 154 pounds my goal is to be around 130ish pounds so darlings the countdown begins. I have read inspirational stories about how people who have lost weight and hope to be size10 by my birthday.

There was once an Indian guy who went for an interview in  a call centre so the manager asked him to make a sentence using the colours green, pink and yellow so the Indian guy thought for a long time and said “the phone went “green green”, ‘I pink  it up and said yellow “

So hope you all make some happy memories with near and dear ones life is too short to be unhappy and grumpy. So have the sunshine smile or sing in the rain if it is raining. Choose life, love life and love those around you, don’t bite the hand that feeds.

Lots of love and hugs

Be An Encourager

dearest darlings, sweetypies, munchkins my cho cho chweet darlings how have you been ? Well I have been doing well and supporting my husband in his  teaching in our church. When we said our marriage vows it is for better for worse for richer or poorer, in sickness and I  health till death do us part.

We are of different cultures and colours but one thing remains we said our vows in church in front of God and family and friends and  we both took our vows seriously. We have had our ups and downs but our marriage has been like the Ocean sometimes there are heavy winds and storms but the ocean remains steadfast so is our marriage while God is our light house bringing light to our storms and winds.

We both have a steady hand guiding us and that hand is our Almighty God. Today as I sat at the bible study that my husband takes at our church I thought what more can I do that will make me a better wife to my husband and I clearly felt “ Support Him” He has been with me about seven years while he was working in IT as a computer Engineer while we were dating now he is serving God and is studying to be a pastor.

My dad is an Anglican Minister and I admired his preaching and teaching and here am I so many years later admiring my husband’s teaching and supporting him. When I was younger God gave me a verse which said “ me and my house will serve the Lord “ Now that verse is being fulfilled.

Dear friends what God promises he provides and guides. You may be dreaming of a life partner hold on to God and he will provide. You may be asking God to open doors in business or in ministry, dear friends if God has promised you this he will open that door it took 6 years for my husband to go into ministry but at the right time God opened the door.

Wait on God, read the word and just speak to God and watch God fulfil that plan for your life. As for me I am overflowing with gratitude and thankfulness to God for giving me the joy and privilege in hearing my husband conduct that Bible study and all I want to be is a supportive wife sans nagging and a wonderful mother to my gorgeous two year old daughter if I can accomplish this I would have fulfilled my role on earth as a wife and mother at this time for my family.

Today all I can say is I am grateful and content with my role on this earth

The History Of Anicent India

Hi there dear cho cho chweet darlings, how are you  dear honey buns ? Well I the Indian aunty have been reading about my language Tamil. The Indus valley civilization which is also called the Harappan civilazation and which is Mohanjodaro now  in Pakistan. Is an ancient civilization these people were most probably Dravidians the original inhabitants of India. Such as the red Indians of America and the aborigines  of Australia.

The Indus valley people can be dated to 2000 BC. These people loved art and architecture and dance as we can see the figurine of the dancing girl made of metal. The homes in this civilization had drainage and sewage systems and they built highly sophisticated housing for such an early time of history. They also had a great bath which can noted as the modern day spa.

I believe this civilization is as remarkable as the Egyptian civilization. These ancient people also did agriculture. Somehow all they left for us to remember them by was their remarkable housing.

What happened to these remarkable sophisticated people they suddenly vanished from the Indus valley if you are an sci fi fan you can say alien ship took them away. Or there must have been a tidal wave or volcano that killed these people or most probably what most historians believe these people were driven to southern India by the Aryans most probably Tamil Nadu where they settled down. The  Aryans then were the first  set of people who came to India and they brought with them the rig veda  the original script  which is the basis of Hinduism.

But what baffle’s me  is what happened to these people of the Indus valley I believe they intermarried with the Aryans and that is why the Brahmins most of them are very light skinned and highly intelligent a product of inter- breeding and some of them even have green eyes a product of Arayan ancestry

Then came the other cultures to India the Middle Eastern, the Syrians to Kerala, and ofcourse the British all these cultures make beautiful cosmopolitan India. Someone said if you see the colours of the people in India it is like looking at the rainbow from the beautiful dusky complexioned to the gorgeous milky complexioned with green eyes we are all Indian.

So my dear cho cho cweet honey buns that is the end of my history lesson for today. So Nandre or thank you for checking out my blog

Good bye from the Indian history teacher aunty

Money, Karma and Women

My dearest sweet munchkins how are you? How are you darlings ? Well today I am going to write to the women with some girlie banter I do not want any of you get offended with my girlie banter but here it goes ………

One day a pastor went to shop for a bra for his wife so he went into this Christian bra store and the lady said sir “ we have a catholic bra that holds the masses, the brethren bra that uplifts the fallen and above all we have the Pentecostal bra that makes mountains out of molehills “ So the pastor said give me the Pentecostal bra for my wife and went away smiling………

Dear friends, sometimes  life is like a bra  you can stretch your personality ,savings, friendships, your spouse to the limit but at the end it bounces back to its originality and to your real self.

Lets talk about money for a change we save, we earn, we spend, we learn. Money can be stretched to the limit but it always bounces back till we get our next pay check. Money should be respected and people with money are respected it is not the most important thing in the world but lets face the facts it is very important.

I do not like talking about money and did not know its importance but I learnt from my family that we should give into our church and God’s ministers. By giving we are being blessed. When we give money call it blessing, karma or fate the blessings come back at us.

I remember when I was working in Microsoft in India I gave into my church, an orphanage and to God’s minter and the next months I got better salary because I believe I pleased God by giving.

I do not think you have to give all your money away but keep one tenth of your money for God. It can also go into a worthy cause like an orphanage or needy relative. God will bless you for that. Learn to give and learn to receive.

I had a problem of learning to receive money as I thought there were more needy people than me but I am still learning to receive things except flowers and  dark chocolates which I love but there are people who must learn to be gracious enough in learning to receive and learning to give they both go hand in hand.

If you feel you can not give money give your time just learn to love people some people have gone through hard times and it makes their heart hard but one day tell God why you are angry  forgive that person and ask Jesus to fill your heart with love for other people and he will fill your heart with love.

By giving a hug to the elderly, or cooking something for a friend or sending money for a worthy project will do wonders for your finance and life and what goes around comes around give out love and what ever you feel you can do or give and watch God bless you.

So from the Christian finance inspector
